My background

I graduated from Boiling Springs high school in 1990.  I graduated from Kutztown University in 1995 with a BS in Secondary Education in General Science.  I have been teaching middle school science since 1995 and I have been at YBMS since 2005.  I am the head soccer coach at Yellow Breeches Middle School.  I am the assistant wrestling coach at Shippensburg University.  I am married, live in South Middleton, and have two children, one attending South Middleton schools.

8th Grade Science

Physical science is the subject for 8th graders.  We will discuss Physics the first half of the year and Chemistry the second half of the year.  There is a Chemistry final and a Physics final.  The Physics final will be sometime in January and the Chemistry final will be the last week of the school year.  Chapter reviews can be found under the sub-pages for Chemistry or Physics. Every marking period there is a notebook check/quiz, keep all of your papers! 

7th Grade Science

Life science is the subject for 7th graders.  Dissections are a part of this curriculum and the students will dissect an earthworm and a frog.  The dissections will occur sometime in March and in April.  Studyguides for the chapters can be found under the 7th grade Life Science. There is a Life science final that will be given the last week of the school year.  Every marking period there is a notebook check/quiz, keep all of your papers!
